The economic measurement of E.C. Cohesion Policy - like the others handling charge Policy - it's usually define on the amount of financial resources assigned relative to the total budget allocation.
In fact, the Cohesion Policy also present a social and territorial dimension; therefore it's necessary look on these different features when we would calculate the real impact that Policy make compared to the others European Community Policy, among which agricultural policy particularly.
Thereby, the aim of this paper is prove the importance achieved by demographic and territorial dimensions of Cohesion Policy, it has been gradually increased up to overcome the Policy size measured with economic and financial index.
For this purpose, using official data, proceeding to make an accurate reconstruction of the trend registered by the different dimensions of this Policy from it beginning, happened in 1975, to 2007-2013 planning term, actually in action.
